![]() During a treatmentDuring your reflexology session, I will apply thumb pressure to the reflex points on the feet. This can often bring pain relief and also benefits the corresponding organ or part of the body. You will also receive wonderfully relaxing foot massage, which can induce blissful calm states of well-being. This deep state of rest (just 30 minutes of deep relaxation is supposed to be the equivalent of two hours sleep) allows the body’s vital power to be restored – naturally, calmly, deeply.Thai reflexology I am fully trained in this dynamic, vigorous and unique form of reflexology, which is thought to be over 5000 years old. The technique uses thumbs, knuckles, creams and a small, smoothly rounded, traditional Thai reflexology stick. This gives an exquisite pressure ranging from light and stimulating to deep and relaxing. Vertical Reflex Therapy (VRT) I studied this remarkable form of reflexology with its founder Lynn Booth. It is especially helpful for orthopaedic problems. The technique is powerful and effective and I often include five minutes VRT within a treatment. Over 100 articles have been written about VRT in the press. “ VRT has been shown to amplify the effects of treatment and to enable the body to balance and heal more quickly.” Nursing and Residential Care, July 2005 Reiki I am attuned to Reiki Level 2. I frequently begin and end a reflexology treatment with several minutes of gently holding the feet and inviting the universal healing energies of Reiki to be of benefit. People often comment on how soothing and calming this feels. |
